Toyota has a sales target of 16 000+ Prius Plug-in units for 2012, do you think this is realistic? I haven't noticed much people interested in the Prius plug-in and plug-in EV's in general.

Would you buy a Prius plug-in when it comes out?

quote is from here
Toyota spokesman, John Hanson, told Bloomberg News that:

We think it's going to be a strong seller and we'll deliver to whatever level the market wants. We're certainly on line to sell 16,000 to 17,000 in 2012.

i would put some serious thought into buying a Prius plug-in. If gas prices reach $4.50/gallon, at that time i will get one, for now though its doesn't seem worth it.

i drive daily and have yet to see a EV charging station.
