We already know Toyota wants to have hydrogen cars out by 2015. Spy photographers have now spotted the Japanese automaker testing a hydrogen system in a car disguised as the discontinued Lexus HS250h.

The car was spotted testing out in Death Valley and as you can see, it is clearly being filled with hydrogen. Honda already sells their FCX Clarity hydrogen car in limited quantities and that car is handmade. Toyota plans on releasing a mass-produced model in 2015.
The HS250h was plagued by recalls and based on a European market, vehicle called the Avensis. The North American only HS250h, was a failure and as such is discontinued. This boring car is the perfect choice as a test mule.
