Kelly Blue Book (KBB) has released a Top 10 review of the Greenest cars available to us now... The number 1 car is a Nissan leaf with a 99MPG equivalent, while the Chevy Volt has a 93 MPG equivalent..

Prius comes in 3rd with a 50MPG rating 51 HWY/ 48 CITY, which are quiet respectable numbers. Though the top 2 cars on the list are EV's. 3rd place isnt bad at all !

Bellow is what KBB had to say about the Prius.

The original hybrid for the masses is still the segment's heavyweight when it comes to getting the most miles for your gallon. Whereas some efficiency-focused cars require an adjustment in driving habits to wring the most out of the vehicle's fuel-saving technologies, the Prius allows you to drive as you normally would and still see mpg returns that you can brag about during your semi-regular visits to the gas station.

Nissan Lead is amazing for what it is but I don't think the design part of things going on with the Leaf is all that great. To me it comes off as being ugly. About the Volt, I believe the claimed 93 MPG was challenged and turned out you wont get 93 MPG from a Volt, rather it was 60-70 MPG.

The Prius still is #1 in my books, killer looks, great MPG and it's been around for a while. I have more confidence in the Toyota Prius.

I agree i would much rather buy a Prius, its been around for a decade and counting while the leaf has been out for a year or so. Also i would have range anxiety of how far i can really go.. without having my battery die on me.

Also agree with the Prius.

It makes total sense to go with a Prius. Nearly everywhere I go I see a Toyota Prius.
Prius is the milestone for green vehicles and in rough times you cant beat the support for parts and service for it. WIth mass amounts of Prius's on the road.....parts should be affordable.

Prius is amazing right now, just imagine what Toyota is working on now for the Prius.
