I have a 2008 Prius, and the battery keeps dying. I think I may need to replace the battery. The car is otherwise in fine condition. So my options are to sell the car or replace the battery. If I choose to replace the battery, what are my options? Dealer or a non-toyota mechanic? What are the costs?

Neither of your batteries is lithium.
The 12 V one is AGM and the HV one is NiMh.

Have you done a search here for "battery" ?

A lot more information can be found on priuschat.com

Hi. Duralast Gold vs. Platinum Battery - Which One To Choose? Please tell me who knows the answer to this question. It's very interesting to know which is better
No normal mortal human being can give a definitive answer to questions like that.
It might depend on where in the world you live......because they might be made in different factories to slightly different spec's.
And obsessing over things like that isn't good for your mental health.
Pick one and don't look back.

Note: Pretty sure that neither of those is really a "lithium" battery.
