tank size is the same if i remember correctly. they were able to incorporate the plug in system without any known issues. but its still in production anyway so some details might change prior to its release. it still uses the same battery pack as a regular prius so it wouldnt change because of that.

With the new PHEV would the tank size decrease, due to the extra size of the battery?

I dont know man with the plug in system they did improve the battery size, so i would assume they compromised gas tank size.. i think it was 10L or something like that.
