Nissan has released this picture of its electric Nissan Leaf Nismo RC racer, set to be unveiled at the New York motor show this week.

The 'hardcore' EV manages the 0-62mph sprint in 6.9 seconds, down from 11.9 seconds despite retaining the standard car’s 107bhp electric motor

This seems like a hardcore racer/ EV/ zero emission racer... i wonder if Toyota will respond to any of this haha!

Sadly Toyota won't even come close to making anything like this. It would give a nice boost in PR if they do make something like this. Young people and earth friendly people will like it and help them move farther and farther away from the whole recall fiasco of 2009-2010.
