hello, im new here and I got a 2014 or 2015 Prius.

The reason I'm here is because my prius free maintenance is expired after 25k mileage service.

I am located in south California in Los Angeles. Longo Toyota rep says I can extend my maintenance for $300 for 4 more maintenance service or so.

Being unemployed its tough for me to make a decision. Do I really need to pay the maintenance for my car? is there any other alternative?

I was in the military service for 5 years honorable discharged. I couldn't able to find any help to get hire so therefore I must save every money I can.

I am not a car expert. I am hoping there someone could help me giving me advice or direction or whatever.

NO. The answer is NO.

If you are on a tight budget, all you should be doing is the REQUIRED maintenance items, as they are required not paying 4 years in advance.

That usually means oil changes and tire rotations at the recommended intervals and an air filter as needed.......at whatever place is the cheapest......which will NOT be the Toyota dealer. It will cost you MUCH less than the price they are quoting you.

And while it's not important for THIS question, you really need to know what model year you car IS. It can be important for other things.
