We have a 2010 Prius IV. Our dog likes to sit in the passengers lap and occasionally will move around a bit and once in awhile will press the power windows button. Usually not a big deal and you can lock the power windows from the driver's seat. We are more concerned that even though the passenger door is locked, the passenger, or the dog, can open the door while rolling down the road. What if your child was sitting in that seat? Is there someway to program the locks so that the passenger door cannot be opened while the vehicle is going down the road?

I don't think so.......with ANY car.

If there is a wreck, all occupants NEED to be able to get OUT.

If the passengers are properly belted in, there should not be a problem with the door coming open.

The door handle itself is kind of hard to operate by accident.......even if you are a dog.

Bud get things checked out. I'm not sure if there is a special lock system but honestly, just take extra precaution. You don't want to be in a weird position. Not worth it.
