If we bought super light weight wheels and more carbon fiber pieces and introduced and lightweight saving and cutting weight here and there how much fuel economy would we save?

weight, is the biggest killer of fuel economy.

but...

the Prius is really light as it is, carbon fiber parts do help big time but they cost a lot.
I would suggest carbon fiber parts if your going to keep the car for a while or can sell the CF parts quick enough when you dont need them.

carbon fiber wouldn't cost so much if it wasnt for the Us government using up all the carbon kevlar for their bullet proof vest and other things like that as well!
They should offer it as an option like how Scion will offer siebon hoods and other Aftermarket Toyota approved parts.

The amount of money it would cost you to do all those modifications would prevent you from seeing any fuel savings for a long time and their effects may only be minimal like maybe an extra gallon or two of gas over an extended period of driving.

My main point here is its not worth the money...
