Just bought used Prius, dash went out, cruise control, no mpg. Lemon or not?

After a lot of research, I decided to buy a 2008 Prius with 66k miles on it and a very clean 100% done-at-dealer maintenance record. Love it so far, drives like a dream, averaging 51 mpg. However, after three days I started it up and the front dash displaying mph and gas went out, as well as the mpg readings on the big panel. The 'spinning wheels' and energy flow was still working, just no reading of actual mpg's. Cruise control was also out, fob will not lock or unlock, but will start the vehicle. Made it home at 2 in the morning, and turned it on again and everything came back like normal. Zero problems, like nothing happened.
SO, did I just buy a car with serious issues or is the 12v battery nearly dead? (strongly suspect this.) Really hoping it's not major electrical problems...someone please tell me otherwise! This is my first Prius, really want to like this car! Oh, and the used car lot I bought it from was shady, shady, shady. But seemed like a great deal..."carfax certified."
