If we were to come to the day where racing, on the TT, or the MotoGP and the GT3 Races, or the Lemans, or the B Class spec races and NASCAR, was silent....

why is it silent you ask? Because we have all switched over to the EV motor... how would racers feels to no longer have the scream of a high revving inline 4 and the deep tones of a v8 or v10, but all gone due to the battery and electrical motor whines...

how much of the racing spirit would disappear, and would it lack that extra emotional attachment to sound?

i for one, would never approve of full EV racing... as it lacks emotion and feeling and love for the sounds of racing.

i agree EV racing lacks emotion, feeling and sound. It's just wont be the same. However people will like EV racing for it's uniqueness and how different it is. For me.....auto racing with no serious engine sound, turbo spooling and supercharger wining isn't the same. Its what add's to the WOWW factor.

Only reason being is that, with electricity you get power right off the bat, and dont have to wait for the power to kick in, but generally it really does lack emotion, esp for the spectators, when we are used to the screaming sounds of motors and exhuast notes, we get stuck with quiet raceways, of an electrical whizz and just squealing tyrs....
