the key slides out of your smart key. you will see a little switch on your key that you slide over and just pull the ring on your smart key out and out pops a key. i can't believe the dealer didn't explain this to you. lol

I don't have Tire Pressure monitoring on my Prius. It just gives me that yellow indicator when one gets low. As for the smart key, you can keep the fob in your pocket to unlock the driver and passenger door, and hatch, and you can also start the vehicle without inserting the fob. At the bottom of the key, you will find a switch, hold it to the opposite side of the position it sits and slide out the key, there is your key. If that key doesn't fit your door it is more than likely a replacement and you will have to bring it to Toyota, or a locksmith to get it engraved to fit your Prius.

You REALLY should bet an owners manual for that model. REALLY.

The mechanical key is there to allow you to get into the car incase of a complete electrical failure. As was mentioned, the key should be "hidden" in your FOB.

Did you get 2 FOBs with the car ?? Hope so.
