Sorry if these are answered elsewhere, but my search didn't find anything useful. I'm looking at 'plug-in hybrid' Prius Prime and hoping to make majority of my driving EV, while also hoping to simply use household 110 circuit for charging. I see it is 5+ hours, but that doesn't bother me. If I need to go, I'll use gas.
  • Does someone have experience with 110 charging? Good or bad?
  • Do you charge 80-90% to save battery life? Or always 100%?
  • Do you actually get 25 miles (I know, it depends of hills, driving style, etc.) but any info would help
  • If you charge 80% do you get 20 miles?

Don't try to do a better job of engineering the system than the actual Engineers did.

They take that into consideration when they calibrate the system.
When it shows you 100% that doesn't mean what you think.
It is 100% of where they want it to be and will be somewhat less that it's theoretical total capacity.

If you have the time to fully charge at 120V most of the time and can resist the obsessive compulsive desire to not burn one more ounce of fuel than is absolutely necessary.......then that will be fine.
