I just bought a 2012 Prius 2 out here in CO and winter is upon us, I was thinking of getting a separate set of rims with winter tires to switch out when needed, and found a set on CL from a 2005 prius with almost brand new winter tires on them. The problem is my car has 195/65/15's, and these are 185/65/15's. I know that it's crucial to keep the diameter the same but will this bit of difference in width be anything of concern????

NO, likely not.

A thinner tire often is better in snow......but not as good on bare ice.

I don't think you will notice the difference.

Personally, I stopped screwing with "winter tires" about 40 years ago......about the time that "all season" tires became common.
