Wheel bearings?

I rotated my tires front to back and criss crossed them....now I hear a lot of grinding noise, sounds like bad wheel bearings. only have 80k miles on it. Didn't hear that noise before I rotated the tires. They are new tires. Could it be bad wheel bearings or just the tires? How long do wheel bearings last?

Anything lasts as long as it lasts. Nobody can tell you how long any specific thing will last.

IF....they really are "new", why are you rotating them ??

Also, some tires are "directional" and should NOT be crossed during rotation.
If you have that kind of tire, the noise could be coming from them......which are now turning the wrong way.

A grinding noise usually comes from the brakes.......which can be accidentally damaged during the rotation.

Of course it could be just coincidence too.
You need somebody onsite to help you locate the noise.
Can't do that "online".
