Default 12v Battery replecement

While in Mexico I had to replace the 12v battery after talking to the dealer in USA I found out that you can use a regular battery just replace the terminal for standard size, after a month now everything works just fine, smart start and entry and all electronics.
Regular price for battery here in Costco Mexico was $1500 pesos or $85 us dollars plus a couple of dollars for the battery terminas at auto parts store.

Almost forgot, to the braket that holds the actual battery down I taped a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe to avoid any vibration of the positive terminal as it has a couple of relays, pics are basically self explanatory and the work was easy and fast, the main difference is that here in Mexico they only give you $5.5 us dollars for the core instead of the $20 in USA.

That depends on exactly what you mean by "regular battery".

If it has removable caps to add water....AND....it is inside the passenger compartment, like under the back seat.....then that is NOT a good idea.

Either way, if it has a vent outlet on it, that should be connected to a hose and routed OUTSIDE.
