Toyota offers recent college graduates a $1,000 instant rebate on the purchase of certain new vehicles. That list of vehicles finally includes the Prius c hybrid.
This is a car that is meant to be a small, inexpensive hybrid and with an MSRP of less than $19,000 it is the cheapest new hybrid a person can buy. This vehicle is understandably aimed at young, urban, college-educated people who are environmentally-aware. This makes it slightly surprising that until now, the people who this car was aimed at, could not use their graduate discount on it.
This is, however, the only hybrid that Toyota offers the rebate on. Perhaps it should have been a Scion, then it would have had the incentive from its inception. All Scions are elegible for the rebate, even the hot-selling FR-S.
