Hi. Bought new 2019 Prius. At a good deal.or was it ? 3 weeks, my battery on Display varies from 7 Bars then 3 Bars. Up & Down. Is this normal ? I thot a Battery stayed mostly up to 90% mostly. Making just short trips. Thanks.

Welcome.

You have a hybrid car with two distinct battery systems.
That display is showing you (roughly) what is happening with the high voltage drive battery.

It runs on gas part of the time and from the battery part of the time........and sometimes uses both at the same time.

What you are seeing is absolutely normal for a vehicle that uses the battery to actually propel the car.

This is entirely different than the 12 V "accessory" battery which indeed should stay almost fully charged all the time.

The battery display is the charge level indicator. As you drive, the system uses the electric motor along with the gas engine. The battery charge changes with electric motor use. When you brake or coast, part of your braking energy is returned to the battery. So the changing levels show the hybrid system is working.
