Default Winter Tire Question

I traded a 2007 Camry with 215/60 R16 Michelin X-ICE 3 winter tires on steel rims. My new car, a 2017 Prius v has 205/60 R16 wheels. My dealer tells me that the 215/60 tires will work IF when put on the Prius they clear all mechanical and body parts since they have a less than 2% greater circumference than the 205/60 size. Does anyone have any experience with this choice?
Thanks for your help.

You have 16 inch wheels......with 205/60 R16 tires.

Circumference likely will not be a problem.
Side clearance might be though, especially front tires when turning.

I think your dealer is right.
