Default "Prius more economical than a diesel and perfectly suited to urban driving"

The title says it all "Prius more economical than a diesel and perfectly suited to urban driving", this was mainly directed towards London where 20 Prius's were tested and the article writer came to that conclusion. London is a big, busy city and the obvious fact is the same or almost the same results will be achieved in other major cities around the world.

I was planning to choose from a diesel or Prius Hybrid, but if the Prius Plug-In is really that great....i know what i will be buying!

Toyota Prius Plug-In is practically perfect in London

seems like the article is comparing a Prius plug-in to a diesel, why? it would be better to compare a regular Prius hybrid to a diesel.
Even without the facts, any electric car is better than any diesel out these days not just the Prius.

The 2012 Prius plug-in is suppose to be a leader in the plug-in hybrid car market so this should be a really good one. By now all the bugs should be worked out from the current and previous Prius's, maybe this one will be flawless.

Does anyone still care about not having the same driving experience when going to a hybrid?

yea this is the first time in history were getting plug-in hybrid electric vehicles on the market, i believe ToyotaTuner meant other stuff on the PHEV Prius other than the plug-in charging part of it.

It should be just a normal prius with an EV part attached to but, but them i'm sure everything had to be re-worked to add the Charging part as well along with ecu tuning and the syncro of the 2 motors and everything else as well..

So i'm sure a lot has changed too,
