Default Upcoming changes to the Autoguide App.

Hello,

We’re here to announce some changes to the Autoguide.com app. Firstly, we regret to say that Tapatalk is pulling its support of our brandedAutoguide.com apps, both the free and paid versions. As a result no further updates for them will be released and they will no longer be available for download as of December 31st 2015. Sites that request it can be added to the main version of Tapatalk, but all app support will need to go through Tapatalk itself.

However, we can now announce that we have developed a brand new Autoguide App developed with a different company that we will be working very closely with. This will allow for issues to be addressed in a much timelier manner. The new app can be found here!

iOS: AutoGuide Free (Autoguide.com) by AutoGuide.Com https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/autoguide-free-autoguide.com/id1000692627?mt=8

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...utoguide&hl=en

You’ll notice that there’s no paid version of this app. That’s because unlike the old app this one recognizes paid users on the site and is ad free for those groups!

Some other important features include:

Being able to switch freely between light and dark skins!
Being able to upload more than one picture at a time!
Instant push notifications for all of your subscriptions and PM’s
Regular updates directly through the site so you don’t have to search through the app store!
A new streamlined look for speed readers and posters!
We hope you enjoy this brand new app and we thank you for all the time you put in to the old!

As always we welcome your suggestions and issues, so please post them here!
Remember to include your device and operating system when you’re posting issues!

Thanks

I assume that this will not have an adverse affect on members who access using a "plain" browser ??

Not too sure what you mean by that. The browser and app are different though so I don't think there's going to be any changes to users on browser mode.

Yes that was the concern.
Some folks don't like to load a specific app for every site they visit......and some don't even use a "phone device" to do their browsing <gasp>. ;-)

ohhh. Well for those that don't use a phone, this is not an issue for them because the mobile display will only be for smartphones and iphones. Windows and Blackberrys (some) will be excluded. The app however, can be downloaded via the app store.

As for those that like using the desktop mode on their phones, they can exit out of the mobile mode and that should keep them in the desktop mode for 90 days maximum provided that they don't clear their browser cache and cookies.

You can ask us any questions regarding the app and the site here and we'll try to answer them as best as we can.
