Hello from Wisconsin!
I just replaced my recently crashed Audi TT roadster with a new Prius Limited, but it's not my first Prius. I had a 2007 model for about 10 years. In those 10 years and 140k miles I went through a few sets of tires, oil changes, and one brake job. I seem to recall a belt was replaced at the recommended mileage. It never broke down (though my son used to leave the overhead lights on in back and managed to kill the 12V battery twice). That's one of the main reasons I went for a new one.
The new one is a huge upgrade over the old one. Quieter, faster, better fuel economy, smoother ride, and the JBL audio is great. I got the heated seats and steering wheel for cold winters. I drove it to work for the first time yesterday, about 25 miles on mixed surface roads and freeway, and averaged 61 mpg. Driving home I actually averaged 68 mpg! I couldn't believe it!
Now I'm studying the manual (825 pages! OMG!) and playing with the optional settings to figure out what I want displayed, where, and when. I think it's going to take me a month or two to sort it all out.
