Obviously all of us here are concerned with gas mileage. Why else would we be on a Prius forum. LOL. Post up here if you were able to beat the EPA MPG rating for your Prius. Also post up the conditions and other factors if possible.

Im suprised this thread isn't longer. I came on here to see what other peoples real world mileage with the prius is.

Common people! Post up your mileage with your prius.

How much % city and highway, which model, what tires.

I've got a 2011 Prius 5 and my mileage sucks has since we got the car right now I'm getting between 28-32 mpg

On a trip from Albuquerque to Lubbock we did get 46 or so and on a trip to Denver around 48.

I've had it at the dealership several times complaining about mileage but they say nothin is wrong with it

Well I think this pretty much proves what the dealer is trying to tell you.

"City" or suburban driving should yield better BUT a lot of stop and go rush hour traffic will make for worse mileage.

And then there is running the A/C all the time where you live.

And then there is your driving technique.......

WE had a 2011 Prius and averaged about 48-50 mpg over 4 years. We just traded it in for a 2015 model and are only getting about 44 mpg. Complained to the dealership about it on our first maintenance visit, and they had no explanation . Said a lot of customers were voicing the same complaint.

Is that "displayed" mileage or an actual manual calculation ?
Is your new model a bigger body than the old one ?
Are the tires aired up properly ?

Many new owners report that their mileage creeps up a bit over the first 6 months and several thousand miles.

I have had a 2001, 2011, 2016 and 2018. The 2016 and the 2018 are Prius 3 with the lithium Ion battery. The 2001 max was about 52 mpg in the summer. Winter brought lower mileage, about 45mpg. The 2011 about 55 mpg summer and 49 mpg in the winter. Both the 2016 and the 2018 get 62 mpg in the summer and 54 mpg in the winter.
